3 Years
Duration:
3 years (6 semesters)
Eligibility:
10+2 with science subjects (specific subject requirements vary depending on the combination of courses chosen).
Admission is through CUET (Common University Entrance Test), as per the guidelines set by the University of Delhi.
The B.Sc. Programme offers a more generalized science education, where students can select from various combinations of subjects. This flexibility allows them to tailor their studies based on interests and career goals.
Unlike the B.Sc. (Hons.) programs, the B.Sc. Programme does not require in-depth specialization in a single subject.
Students can choose combinations from the following subjects (subject to availability and specific college offerings):
Physics + Chemistry + Mathematics
Physics + Chemistry + Computer Science
Mathematics + Chemistry + Botany
Mathematics + Chemistry + Zoology
Biology + Chemistry + Physics
Botany + Zoology + Chemistry
The B.Sc. Programme includes foundational courses in subjects such as:
Physics
Chemistry
Mathematics
Biology
Computer Science
Environmental Studies (a compulsory subject for all undergraduate programs in DU)
Skill Enhancement Courses (e.g., Computer Applications, Data Science)
The B.Sc. Programme prepares students for careers in various sectors, but it is generally a stepping stone for further studies in specialized fields. Graduates can pursue higher education, such as:
M.Sc. (Master of Science) in various fields of science
MCA (Master of Computer Applications) if they specialize in Computer Science
MBA (Master of Business Administration) if they wish to enter management
Jobs in research, teaching, and industry (depending on the subject combination)
