B.A. Programme – Overview

The B.A. Programme is a three-year undergraduate degree under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). It allows students to study a combination of two core subjects from the arts and social sciences, along with language and skill-based courses. This course is ideal for students looking for flexibility and a broad-based education rather than a single-subject specialization.

The B.A. Programme consists of the following components:

  • English + Economics
(Note: Subject combinations may vary each academic session based on availability.)

2. Ability Enhancement Compulsory Courses (AECC)

These courses are compulsory and include:

  • English Communication or Hindi Communication

  • Environmental Studies

3. Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC)

Students take skill-based papers, which can include:

  • Creative Writing

  • Translation Studies

  • Public Speaking

  • Data Analysis (Options vary by department and semester.)

4. Generic Electives (GE)

These are interdisciplinary papers chosen from outside the two core disciplines. Students get exposure to subjects they are not majoring in.
