The B.A. Programme is a multi-disciplinary and flexible degree where students study two main subjects, along with language, skill-based, and general courses. Unlike B.A. (Hons.), this course is broader in scope but less specialized.
Students select two core disciplines from a list of humanities and social science subjects. Common combinations at Hindu College may include:
History + Political Science
Economics + Political Science
Sociology + History
Hindi + Sanskrit
Philosophy + Political Science
English + Economics
(Availability of combinations depends on the academic session and seat allocation.)
You will study both subjects equally over six semesters. Each includes a mix of theoretical and conceptual papers.

Hindi Language (or another MIL – Modern Indian Language)

You choose one or more subjects from outside your core disciplines to gain interdisciplinary exposure.
Internal Assessment (25%): Class tests, presentations, attendance, assignments.
End-Semester Exam (75%): Written examination in each subject per semester.
